Teaching with Illustrations
Many scientific concepts are difficult for students to grasp because they can’t be seen. Either
the time scale of processes is too long or too short, the object is too large or too small, or is
hidden within other structures. Scientific illustrations and animations often provide the ‘Aha!’
moment for students trying to grasp difficult concepts and also help increase retention of
information.
